Translation · EN

"A mercy from your Lord," the verse.

Muhammad said: His saying: "A command," is in the accusative case as a state (hal); the meaning is: Indeed, We revealed it while commanding a command. His saying: "A mercy from your Lord," means: We revealed it as a mercy.

﴿رَحْمَة من رَبك﴾ الْآيَة.

قَالَ محمدٌ: قَوْله: ﴿أَمْرًا﴾ مَنْصُور على الْحَال؛ الْمَعْنى: إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ آمرين أمرا. وَقَوله: ﴿رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبك﴾ أَي: أَنزَلْنَاهُ رَحْمَة.
