"And those who disbelieve say"—some of them say to others—"Shall we point you to a man," meaning Muhammad, "who informs you," telling you, "that when you have been torn to pieces, you will be in a new creation?" That is, when you have died and your bones have dispersed and become dust, you will be resurrected as a new creation—[as an] expression of disbelief in the Resurrection.
﴿وَقَالَ الَّذين كفرُوا﴾ قَالَه بَعضهم لبعضٍ ﴿هَلْ نَدُلُّكُمْ﴾ أَلا ندلكم ﴿على رجل﴾ يعنون: مُحَمَّدًا ﴿ينبئكم﴾ يُخْبِركُمْ ﴿إِذَا مُزِّقْتُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ إِنَّكُم لفي خلق جَدِيد﴾ أَي: إِذا متم وتفرّقت عظامُكم وَكَانَت رُفاتًا أَنكُمْ لمبعوثون خلقا جَدِيدا - إِنْكَار للبعث؟
