power to help me against Allah'—meaning: He will punish me, and you will not be able to prevent His punishment of me. 'He is most knowing of what you pour into'—from polytheism, meaning: what you speak about. 'Sufficient is He as a witness between me and you'—meaning: I have brought the Quran from Him, and I did not fabricate it. 'And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful'—to those who believe.
تَمْلِكُونَ لِي مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا﴾ أَي: سَوف يُعَذِّبنِي وَلَا تَسْتَطِيعُونَ أَن تَمْنَعُونِي من عَذَابه ﴿هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ﴾ من الشِّرك أَي: تتكلمون بِهِ ﴿كَفَى بِهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ﴾ أَي: جِئْت بِالْقُرْآنِ من عِنْده وَإِنِّي لم أفتره ﴿وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ﴾ لمن آمن.
