"And We will surely test you until We make evident those who strive among you and the patient," and this is the knowledge of realization (of deeds). "And We will test your affairs," meaning: We will put you to the test, so We will know who is truthful in what they have been given of faith and who is lying.
Interpretation of Surah Muhammad from verse 32 to verse 35.
﴿وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ حَتَّى نَعْلَمَ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ مِنْكُمْ وَالصَّابِرِينَ﴾ وَهَذَا علم الفَعَال ﴿وَنَبْلُوَ أَخْبَارَكُمْ﴾ أَي: نختبركم؛ فنعلم من يصدق فِيمَا أَعْطي من الْإِيمَان وَمن يكذب.
