"(So that you may) believe in Allah and His Messenger"—He says this to the people—"and honor him," meaning: assist him, "and revere him," meaning: exalt him—that is, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), according to the interpretation of al-Kalbi. "And glorify Him"—meaning: glorify Allah by praying to Him—"morning and evening." Morning: the morning prayer; evening: the noon and afternoon prayers.
