Translation · EN

"And it is He who withheld their hands from you and your hands from them within the valley of Makkah after He had given you victory over them." Al-Kalbi said: This occurred on the day of al-Hudaybiyah, for the polytheists of the people of Makkah had fought the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and there was some exchange of arrows and stones between the two parties. Then Allah defeated the polytheists while they were in the valley of Makkah, and they were routed until they entered Makkah, then Allah restrained some of them from others.
