"Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah"—thereby honoring him, so they do not raise them in his presence—"are those whose hearts Allah has tested"—meaning, Allah has purified their hearts—"for righteousness."

﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَغُضُّونَ أَصْوَاتَهُمْ عِنْدَ رَسُول الله﴾ فيعظمونه بذلك؛ فَلَا يرفعونها عِنْده ﴿أُولَئِكَ الَّذين امتحن الله قُلُوبهم﴾ أخْلص الله قُلُوبهم ﴿للتقوى﴾.
