"Provision for the servants" (rizqan lil-'ibad), meaning: We caused it to grow as provision for the servants. "And We have brought to life thereby" by means of the rain "a dead land" that is dry, having no vegetation, so it grew vegetation. "Thus is the emergence" (kadhalika al-khuruj), meaning the resurrection. Allah will send down a rain that is like semen, like the semen of men, by which their bodies and flesh will grow, just as the earth grows from the soil.
Interpretation of verses 12 through 15 of Surat Q.
