Translation · EN

Muhammad said: "Yuzliqunaka" (they would make you slip) in the language means: they would strike you down. From this is the poet's saying: ... They exchange when they meet in a gathering ... a gaze that causes the footings to slide away ... And the recitation of Nafi' is: "Layazliqunaka" from: "Zalaqtu" with the fathah on the ya.

His saying: "And they say, indeed he" - meaning Muhammad - "is mad."

قَالَ محمدٌ: (يزلقونك) فِي اللُّغَةِ مَعْنَاهُ: يَصْرَعُونَكَ، وَمِنْهُ قَوْلُ الشَّاعِرِ: … يَتَقَارَضُونَ إِذَا التقوْا فِي مَجْلِسٍ … نَظَرًا يزيلُ مواطئَ الْأَقْدَامِ … وَقِرَاءَةُ نَافِعٍ: (ليَزلقونك) مِنْ: زلَقتُ بِفَتْحِ الْيَاءِ.

قَوْلُهُ ﴿وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّه﴾ يَعْنُونَ: مُحَمَّدًا ﴿لَمَجْنُونٌ﴾
