"And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings," meaning Muhammad, "[We would have seized him by the right hand]," in that he added to the revelation or subtracted from it.
﴿وَلَو تَقول علينا﴾ يَعْنِي: مُحَمَّدًا ﴿بعض الْأَقَاوِيل﴾ فَزَادَ فِي الْوَحْيِ أَوْ نَقَصَ مِنْهُ
