"When evil touches him," meaning: hardship, "he is fretful [jazu'an]," meaning he does not show patience, nor does he possess any hope of reward [hisbah] in it.
﴿إِذا مَسّه الشَّرّ﴾ يَعْنِي: الشدَّة ﴿جزوعا﴾ لَمْ يَصْبِرْ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ فِيهَا حسبةٌ
