"And they followed"—they followed one another in denial—"him whose wealth and children have not increased him except in loss," in the sight of Allah, through their following him.
﴿وَاتبعُوا﴾ اتَّبَعَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا عَلَى التَّكْذِيبِ ﴿مَنْ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ إِلَّا خسارا﴾ عِنْد الله باتبَاعهمْ إِيَّاه
