Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 5 · Page 223

Translation · EN

"(He) Who created seven heavens one above another"—some of them above others, the thickness of each heaven being a journey of five hundred years, and between every two heavens is a journey of five hundred years. "You see no discrepancy in the creation of the Most Merciful"—meaning: difference; that is: they are uniform. "So look again"—meaning: gaze at the heaven. "Do you see any rifts"—meaning: any cracks; that is: you will see no cracks in them.

Muhammad said: It is among the speech of the Arabs: 'The camel's fang split' (fatara) if it tore the flesh and appeared.
