"And that when the servant of Allah stood up" "calling upon Him" - meaning calling upon Allah - "they almost" - the polytheists almost - "became like a packed mass against him" - an interpretation meaning because of their intense anger toward him.
Muhammad said: Everything that you attach to something else with a strong attachment, [you have packed it together (labbadtahu)]. The interpretation of Surah al-Jinn from verses (21-28).
﴿وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ﴾ ﴿يَدعُوهُ﴾ يَدْعُو الله ﴿كَادُوا﴾ كَادَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ ﴿يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا﴾ تَفْسِيرُ مِنَ الْحَرْدِ عَلَيْهِ.
قَالَ محمدٌ: كُلُّ شيءٍ أَلْصَقْتَهُ بشيءٍ إلصاقًا شَدِيدا [فقد لبّدته]. تَفْسِير سُورَة الْجِنّ من آيَة (٢١ - ٢٨)
