"Then he desires that I should increase" — the interpretation of al-Hasan: Then he desires that I should admit him into Paradise, due to the statement of the polytheist: "And if I am returned to my Lord" — as they say — "indeed, for me with Him will be the best [of outcome]," meaning Paradise, if there is a Paradise.
