"Or who is it that is a host for you, that could help you other than the Most Merciful?"—[this is] in the form of a question regarding whether He intends to punish you; meaning: there is no one who can help you other than Him. "The disbelievers"—what are the disbelievers—"are not but in delusion"; meaning: in the delusion of the devil.
﴿أَمَّنْ هَذَا الَّذِي هُوَ جندٌ لَكُمْ يَنْصُرُكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمَنِ﴾ عَلَى الِاسْتِفْهَامِ إِنْ أَرَادَ عَذَابَكُمْ، أَيْ: لَيْسَ أحدٌ يَنْصَرُكُمْ مِنْ دونه ﴿إِن الْكَافِرُونَ﴾ مَا الْكَافِرُونَ ﴿إِلا فِي غُرُورٍ﴾ يَعْنِي: فِي غرور الشَّيْطَان
