Translation · EN

"So whoever wills may remember him." He said in another verse: "And they will not remember except that Allah wills."

Muhammad said: "He who reads (fa-tanfaʿuhu) with the nominative case (rafʿ) does so based on the conjunction to (tazakka), and he who reads (fa-tanfaʿuhu) with the accusative case (naṣb) does so as a response to (laʿalla)." And His saying: "You attend to (talahha)," it is said: I became distracted from the thing (lahaytu ʿan al-shayʾ) and turned away from it if I busied myself away from it."

﴿فَمن شَاءَ ذكره﴾ وَقَالَ فِي آيَةٍ أُخْرَى: (وَمَا تذكرُونَ إِلَّا أَن يَشَاء اللَّهُ).

قَالَ محمدٌ: مَنْ قَرَأَ (فَتَنْفَعُهُ) بِالرَّفْعِ فَعَلَى الْعَطْفِ عَلَى (تزكّى) وَمن قَرَأَ (فتنفعه) بالنصْب فَعَلَى جَوَابِ (لَعَلَّ) وَقَوْلُهُ: ﴿تلهي﴾ يُقَالُ: لَهيتُ عَنِ الشَّيْءِ أَلْهَى عَنهُ إِذا تشاغلت عَنهُ.
