Translation · EN

"You are not, by the grace of your Lord, a madman." This is addressed to the Prophet due to the polytheists saying to him: "Indeed, he is surely a madman." The general reading is with pausing and vowellessness, and the oath falls upon "the Pen" and "what they inscribe."

﴿مَا أَنْتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍ﴾ (٢) بِهَذَا لِلنَّبِيِّ لِقَوْلِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ لَهُ: إِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُونٌ، وَمَقْرَأُ الْعَامَّةِ بِالْوَقْفِ وَالْإِسْكَانِ (٣) وَوَقَعَ الْقَسَمُ عَلَى الْقَلَمِ ﴿وَمَا يسطرون﴾.
