"And indeed, for you is a reward" means: Paradise, "unending"—meaning: it is not bestowed upon you with any injury, according to the interpretation of al-Hasan.
Muhammad said: It is also said that the meaning of "unending" is: not cut off. It is said: You "mananta" (cut) the rope when you cut it.
﴿وَإِن لَك لأجرا﴾ يَعْنِي: الْجنَّة ﴿غير ممنون﴾ بِهِ أَيْ: لَا يُمَنُّ عَلَيْكَ بِهِ مِنْ أَذًى، فِي تَفْسِيرِ الْحَسَنِ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: وَقِيلَ: مَعْنَى ﴿غير ممنون﴾: غَيْرُ مَقْطُوعٍ، يُقَالُ: مَنَنْتَ الحبلَ إِذا قطعته (٢).
