Regarding His saying: “Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with ‘Ad?” This is in the form of a report; meaning: He destroyed them when they belied their messenger.
قَوْلُهُ: ﴿أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبك بعاد﴾ وَهَذَا عَلَى وَجْهِ الْخَبَرِ؛ أَيْ: أهلكهم حِين كذبُوا رسولهم،
