"Indeed, your Lord is in observation," is the answer to the oath.
Muhammad said: Regarding His saying: "In observation," it is said the meaning is: He observes those who disbelieved in Him with punishment. Tafsir of Surat al-Fajr from verse 15 to 23.
﴿إِن رَبك لبالمرصاد﴾ جَوَابُ الْقَسَمِ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: قَوْلُهُ: ﴿لبالمرصاد﴾ قِيلَ: الْمَعْنَى: يَرْصُدُ مَنْ كَفَرَ بِهِ بِالْعَذَابِ تَفْسِير سُورَة الْفجْر من آيَة ١٥ - ٢٣
