"Indeed, your efforts are diverse" [Al-Layl: 4], meaning: the effort of the believer and the effort of the disbeliever, and that is their deeds.
"As for he who gives and fears [Allah]" [Al-Layl: 5]
﴿إِن سعيكم لشتى﴾ يَعْنِي: سَعْيَ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَسَعْيَ الْكَافِرِ وَهُوَ عَمَلُهُمَا.
﴿فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى﴾
