Translation · EN

"[On the] Day when the leg shall be bared." He said, before this: "Or do you have oaths from Us binding until the Day of Resurrection?" meaning: binding until the Day of Resurrection.

"[On the] Day when the leg shall be bared." Mujahid said: Every distress or intensity is a 'leg' (saq), and from this [is the expression...]

﴿يَوْم يكْشف عَن سَاق﴾ قَالَ قَبْلَ هَذَا ﴿أَمْ لَكُمْ أَيْمَانٌ عَلَيْنَا بَالِغَةٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَة﴾ يَعْنِي: بِبَالِغَةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.

﴿يَوْمَ يكْشف عَن سَاق﴾ قَالَ مُجَاهد: كُلُّ كَرْب أَوْ شدَّة فَهُوَ ساقٌ (٢) وَمِنْهُ
