Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 5 · Page 905

Translation · EN

{And the mountains will be like wool,} meaning like wool, {fluffed up,} which is the weakest form of wool.

Muhammad said: The singular of "al-'ihn" is "'ihnah," similar to "sufah" (a single tuft of wool) and "suf" (wool).

Yahya said: In the recitation of Ibn Mas'ud, it is read as "like red wool, fluffed up."
