736 - al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Abu Qatan narrated to us, Mubarak ibn Fadalah narrated to us, from al-Hasan regarding the saying of Allah: "Having no blemish in it," he said: It has no white [spots] in it. It was narrated from Abu al-'Aliyah, Qatadah, and al-Rabi' ibn Anas similarly.
737 - al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Mazid al-Bayruti informed me by way of reading, Ibn Shu'ayb informed me, 'Uthman ibn 'Ata' informed me, from his father 'Ata' ibn Abi Muslim: "Having no blemish in it," they said: Its color is pure/uniform. It was narrated from 'Atiyyah al-'Awfi, Wahb ibn Munabbih, and Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid similarly.
738 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad ibn Talhah narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: "Having no blemish in it," meaning neither white, nor black, nor red.
His saying: "They said, 'Now you have brought the truth'"
739 - Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd Allah ibn al-Munadi informed me in what he wrote to me, Yunus ibn Muhammad al-Mu'addib narrated to us, Shayban al-Nahwi narrated to us, from Qatadah: "They said, 'Now you have brought the truth,'" he said: They said: Now you have clarified [it] for us.
His saying: "And they slaughtered it"
740 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid al-Muqri' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from 'Ata' who said: The slaughtering (dhabh) and the sacrificial killing (nahr) are the same regarding cattle, because Allah the Almighty and Majestic says: "And they slaughtered it."
It was narrated from al-Zuhri and Qatadah similarly.
741 - My father narrated to us, Muqatil ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Waki', from Sufyan, from a man from Khath'am, from Mujahid: "And they slaughtered it," he said: The slaughtering (dhabh) was for you, and the sacrificial killing (nahr) was for you (all).
His saying: "Though they were near to not doing it"

742 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And they slaughtered it, though they were near to not doing it," he says: They were near to not doing it, and that was not because they wanted not to slaughter it. Everything in the Qur'an [using the forms] "akadu" (I am near to), "kadu" (they were near to), "kada" (was near to), and "law" (if) - it never happens. It is like His saying: "I am near to hiding it."

٧٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ ثنا أَبُو قَطَنٍ ثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: لَا شِيَةَ فِيهَا قَالَ: لَيْسَ فِيهَا بَيَاضٌ. وَرُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ وَقَتَادَةَ «١» وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ مِثْلُهُ.
٧٣٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ قِرَاءَةً أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شُعَيْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ: لَا شِيَةَ فِيهَا: قَالُوا: لَوْنُهَا وَاحِدٌ بَهِيمٌ.
وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ وَوَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
٧٣٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ: لا شِيَةَ فِيهَا مِنْ بَيَاضٍ وَلا سَوَادٍ وَلا حُمْرَةٍ.
قَوْلُهُ: قَالُوا الآنَ جِئْتَ بِالْحَقِّ
٧٣٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُنَادِي فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ثنا شَيْبَانُ النَّحْوِيُّ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ: قَالُوا الآنَ جِئْتَ بِالْحَقِّ قَالَ: قَالُوا: الآنَ بَيَّنْتَ لَنَا.

٧٤٠ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ المقري ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ: الذَّبْحُ وَالنَّحْرُ فِي الْبَقَرِ سَوَاءٌ لأَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ: فَذَبَحُوهَا.
وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَقَتَادَةَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
٧٤١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا مُقَاتِلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ وَكِيعٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ خَثْعَمٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ: فَذَبَحُوهَا قَالَ: كَانَ الذَّبْحُ فِيهِمْ، وَالنَّحْرُ فِيكُمْ.

٧٤٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَذَبَحُوهَا وَمَا كَادُوا يَفْعَلُونَ يَقُولُ: كَادُوا أَنْ لَا يَفْعَلُوا، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ ذلك لأنه أَرَادُوا أَنْ لَا يَذْبَحُوهَا. وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ: أَكَادُ. وَكَادُوا وَكَادَ وَلَوْ. فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَكُونُ أَبَدًا. وَهُوَ مِثْلُ قَوْلِهِ: أَكَادُ أُخْفِيهَا «٢» .
