The second aspect:

743 - al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Muhammad al-'Anqazi narrated to us, Abu Ma'shar narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazi regarding His saying: "And they slaughtered it, though they were near to not doing it," he said: Due to the high price.

744 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq reported to us, Ibn 'Uyaynah reported to us, Muhammad ibn Suqah informed me, from 'Ikrimah who said: Its price was no more than three dinars.

His saying: "And [recall] when you slew a soul"

745 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding: "And [recall] when you slew a soul," he said: The owner of the cow was a man from the Children of Israel whom a man killed and then cast his body at the door of other people; the family of the slain man then came and claimed his blood, and they fought one another.

His saying: "And you disputed concerning it"

[First Aspect]

746 - My father narrated to us, Abu Hudhayfah narrated to us, Shibl narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "And [recall] when you slew a soul and you disputed concerning it," meaning you differed regarding it.

The second aspect:

747 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Abu Shaybah—meaning Shu'ayb ibn Zurayq—narrated to us, from 'Ata' al-Khurasani regarding His saying: "And you disputed concerning it," he says: You quarreled over it.

It was narrated from al-Dahhak similarly.

His saying: "While Allah brings to light what you were concealing"

748 - al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, from Warqa', from Ibn Najih, from Mujahid regarding: "While Allah brings to light what you were concealing," he said: What you were hiding.

749 - 'Amr ibn Salm al-Basri narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-Tufayl al-'Abdi narrated to us, Sadaqah ibn Rustum narrated to us, he said: I heard al-Musayyab ibn Rafi' saying: No man ever did a good deed within seven houses but that Allah revealed it, and no man ever did a bad deed within seven houses but that Allah revealed it. The verification of that is: "While Allah brings to light what you were concealing."
