Translation · EN

Muttalib, O Banu Fihr, O Banu [so and so], what do you think? If I informed you that horses were in the valley of this mountain, wanting to raid you, would you believe me? They said: Yes. He said: Then I am a warner to you before a severe torment.

His saying: "And you will not be asked about the companions of the Hellfire."

1151 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid al-Muqri' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Musa ibn 'Ubaydah, from Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazi, who said: The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was asking about his father, so Allah the Mighty and Majestic revealed: "And you will not be asked about the companions of the Hellfire."

His saying: "And never will the Jews or the Christians be pleased with you until you follow their religion."

1152 - al-Fadl ibn Shadhan mentioned, Ahmad ibn al-Hasan al-Kindi narrated to us, from Abu 'Ubaydah: "Until you follow their religion," [meaning] their faith. And the milal (religions) are the adyan (faiths/religions).

His saying: "Say, 'Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance.'"

1153 - Musa ibn Harun al-Tusi informed us in what he wrote to me, al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Marrudhi narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Qatadah: "Say, 'Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance,'" he said: It was mentioned to us that the Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to say: "A group of my Ummah will continue to fight for the truth, being victorious; they will not be harmed by those who oppose them until the command of Allah comes."

1154 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah: "Say, 'Indeed, the guidance of Allah,'" he said: [This is a] disputation which Allah taught to Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them), with which they would debate the people of misguidance.

His saying: "And if you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge..."

1155 - My father narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Idris narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us: "After what has come to you of knowledge," regarding what I have related to you of the news.
