His saying, the Mighty and Majestic: "Those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse."
There is a difference of opinion regarding its interpretation according to several views, one of which is:
[The First View]
1444 - Al-Hasan ibn 'Arafah narrated to us, 'Ammar ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Layth ibn Abi Sulaym, from al-Minhal ibn 'Amr, from Badhan Abu 'Amr, from al-Bara' ibn 'Azib, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at a funeral, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sat and said: "The disbeliever is struck a blow between his eyes, and every creature—other than the two heavy ones (mankind and jinn)—hears it, and every creature that hears his voice curses him." That is the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "Those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse," meaning: the creatures of the earth.
[The Second View]
1445 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, who said: Allah said: "Those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse," meaning: the angels of Allah and the believers. Similar to this was narrated from Qatadah and al-Rabi' ibn Anas.
[The Third View]
1446 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding "and cursed by those who curse," he said: The beasts; when the earth suffers from drought, the beasts say: "This is because of the sinners among the children of Adam; may Allah curse the sinners among the children of Adam."
1447 - Ahmad ibn 'Isam narrated to us, Mu'ammal narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Mujahid, similar to it; he said: The beetles, the scorpions, and the beasts say: "Rain has been withheld from us due to the sins of the children of Adam." Something similar was narrated from 'Ikrimah.
