1459 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "Nor will they be reprieved," he said: They will not be delayed.
His saying: "And your god is one God."
1460 - Yahya ibn 'Abdakah al-Qazwini narrated to us, Makki ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah (meaning: Ibn Abi Ziyad) narrated to us, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Asma' (meaning: bint Yazid), that she heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Indeed, in these two verses is the Greatest Name of Allah: 'And your god is one God; there is no god but He, the Most Merciful, the Ever Merciful,' and 'Alif. Lam. Mim. Allah - there is no god except He, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer.'"
1461 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Masruq narrated to me from Abu al-Duha, regarding the saying of Allah: "And your god is one God," he said: When this verse was revealed, the polytheists were astonished and said: "Muhammad says: 'Your god is one God,' so let him bring us a sign if he is among the truthful." Then Allah the Exalted revealed: "Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day..." until His saying: "...are signs for a people who use reason."
1462 - My father narrated to us, Abu Hudhayfah narrated to us, Shibl narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from 'Ata', he said: "And your god is one God; there is no god but He, the Most Merciful, the Ever Merciful," was revealed to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in Medina. The disbelievers of Quraysh in Mecca said: "How can one god suffice for all people?" So Allah the Almighty and Majestic revealed: "Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day and the ships which sail through the sea..." until His saying: "...are signs for a people who use reason." By this, you know that He is one God, that He is the God of everything, and the Creator of everything.
His saying: "There is no god but He, the Most Merciful, the Ever Merciful."
1463 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas: "There is no god but He," he said: His Oneness (Tawhid).
1464 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan informed us, Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: "There is no god but He," meaning: there is no one with Him who is a partner in His command.

١٤٥٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَوْلُهُ: وَلا هم ينظرون، قَالَ: لا يُؤَخَّرُونَ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ
١٤٦٠ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدَكَ الْقَزْوِينِيُّ، ثنا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي: ابْنَ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ، يَعْنِي بِنْتَ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ فِي هَاتَيْنِ الآيَتَيْنِ اسْمُ اللَّهِ الأَعْظَمُ:
وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ لَا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرحيم والم. اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ
١٤٦١ - حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ رَوَّادٍ، ثنا آدَمُ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى «١»
، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ قَالَ: لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ عَجِبَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ وَقَالُوا: إِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا يَقُولُ: إِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ، فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِآيَةٍ إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ. إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: لآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
١٤٦٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ، ثنا شِبْلٌ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
نَزَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ: وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ لَا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ فَقَالَ كُفَّارُ قُرَيْشٍ بِمَكَّةَ: كَيْفَ يَتَّسِعُ النَّاسَ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ؟ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَالْفُلْكِ الَّتِي تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: لآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ فَبِهَذَا تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ، وَأَنَّهُ إِلَهُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، وَخَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ.
قَوْلُهُ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ
١٤٦٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ قَالَ: تَوْحِيدُهُ.
