1478 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "And among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals," he means: idols.
And the second viewpoint:
1479 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik, regarding His saying: "Equals," he means: partners.
1480 - My father narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Yazid al-Rishk narrated to us, from Abu Mijlaz, who said: I was sitting when a man asked him: "What is Shirk (polytheism)?" He said: "To take other than Allah as equals."
1481 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad ibn Talhah narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: "And among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals, loving them as they [should] love Allah." He said: "The equals are men whom they obey just as they obey Allah; when they command them, they obey them and disobey Allah, the Almighty and Majestic."
His saying: "Loving them as they [should] love Allah"
1482 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying, the Almighty and Majestic: "Loving them as they [should] love Allah," he says: "They love those idols as they love Allah, meaning: as the believers love their Lord." It was narrated from Qatadah and al-Rabi' similarly.
1483 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "Loving them as they [should] love Allah," [meaning] emulation and rivalry, or matching the Truth, by loving the equals.
His saying: "But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah"
1484 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah," than the people of the idols are for their idols. It was narrated from al-Rabi', Mujahid, and Qatadah similarly.

١٤٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا آدَمُ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، ثنا يَزِيدُ الرِّشْكُ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، كُنْتُ جَالِسًا فَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ: مَا الشِّرْكُ؟ قَالَ: أَنْ تَتَّخِذَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنْدَادًا.
١٤٨١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ:
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنْدَادًا يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كحب الله قَالَ: الأَنْدَادُ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ يُطِيعُونَهُمْ كَمَا يُطِيعُونَ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَمَرُوهُمْ أَطَاعُوهُمْ وَعَصَوَا اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
قوله: يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللَّهِ
١٤٨٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ رَوَّادٍ، ثنا آدَمُ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ: يُحِبُّونَ تِلْكَ الأَوْثَانَ كَحُبِّ اللَّهِ، أَيْ: كَحُبِّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّهُمْ. وَرُوِيَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، وَالرَّبِيعِ، نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
١٤٨٣ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ عن ابن نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ»
، قَوْلُهُ: يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللَّهِ مباهاة ومضارة أو مضاهاة لِلْحَقِّ، بِالْحُبِّ لِلأَنْدَادِ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِلَّهِ
١٤٨٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ رَوَّادٍ، ثنا آدَمُ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِلَّهِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الأَوْثَانِ لأَوْثَانِهِمْ. وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ، ومجاهد، وقتادة ونحو ذلك.
