[His saying: "And the means of communication have been severed between them"]

[The first viewpoint]

1492 - Ya'qub ibn 'Ubayd al-Nahratiri narrated to us in Baghdad, Abu 'Asim informed us, 'Isa, meaning ibn Maymun, informed us, from Qays, meaning ibn Sa'd, from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas: "And the means of communication have been severed between them," he said: The affection [they had for one another].

1495 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Hani' ibn Sa'id, meaning the Nakha'i, the brother of Abu Bukayr, narrated to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak: "And the means of communication have been severed between them," he means: the ties of kinship were severed between them, and the stations in the Fire were separated for them.

And the third viewpoint:

1496 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah: "And the means of communication have been severed between them," he means: the causes of regret. And it was narrated from al-Rabi' similarly. This was contradicted by the narration of Muhammad ibn 'Ammar.

1497 - Muhammad ibn 'Ammar narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', regarding His saying: "And the means of communication have been severed between them," he says: "The means (al-asbab) are the stations."
