1555 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr and Qatadah, and [narrated from] Abu Najih, from Mujahid and Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And the wayfarer," they both said: He is the one who passes by you while he is a traveler. It was reported from al-Hasan, Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn 'Ali, al-Dahhak, al-Zuhri, al-Rabi' ibn Anas, and Muqatil ibn Hayyan similarly.

His saying: "And those who ask"

1556 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj and 'Amr ibn 'Abd Allah al-Awdi narrated to us, they both said: Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Mus'ab ibn Muhammad, from Ya'la ibn Abi Yahya, the freed slave of Fatimah, from Fatimah bint al-Husayn, from her father, he said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "The asker has a right, even if he comes upon a horse."

1557 - My father narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Qays ibn Kurkum, he said: I asked Ibn 'Abbas about the asker, he said: "The one who asks."

His saying: "And for the freeing of slaves"

1558 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "And those who ask, and for the freeing of slaves" - meaning: the release of slaves.

1559 - My father narrated to us, Hisham ibn 'Ammar narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Shu'ayb narrated to us, Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf narrated to me, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding the saying of Allah: "And for the freeing of slaves," he said: They are the mukatabun (those in debt-redemption contracts). It was reported from al-Hasan and al-Zuhri similarly.

His saying: "And establishes prayer"

1560 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "And establishes prayer" - meaning: and completes the obligatory prayer. It was reported from Muqatil ibn Hayyan similarly.

His saying: "And gives zakah"

And by way of him from Sa'id, regarding His saying: "And gives zakah" - meaning: the obligatory zakah. And it was reported from Muqatil ibn Hayyan similarly.
