1567 - Ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bashshar narrated to us, Surur ibn al-Mughirah narrated to me, from 'Abbad ibn Mansur, from al-Hasan, [who] said: This [refers to] illnesses, hunger, and similar things.
And the third view.
1568 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "And hardship" - meaning: at times of tribulation and intensity.
His saying: "And at times of battle"
1569 - Abu Sa'id ibn Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Muhammad al-'Anqazi narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, from Murrah, from 'Abd Allah: "And at times of battle," he said: At the time of fighting.
It was reported from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, al-Hasan, Mujahid, Abu al-'Aliyah, Qatadah, Murrah, Muqatil ibn Hayyan, al-Rabi' ibn Anas, and Abu Malik similarly.
His saying: "Those are the ones who have been true"
1570 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah: "Those are the ones who have been true" - he says: They spoke with the speech of faith and verified it with action. Al-Rabi' said: Al-Hasan used to say: Faith is speech, and its reality is action; so if the statement is not verified by action, the statement will not benefit him.
It was reported from al-Rabi' ibn Anas similarly.
1571 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf informed me, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan: "Those are the ones who have been true" in their faith, and were patient in the obedience of their Lord. In the narration of Muhammad ibn Muzahim, there is an addition, meaning: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and his Companions.
His saying: "And it is those who are the righteous (al-muttaqun)."
1572 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me.

١٥٦٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: وَالضَّرَّاءِ يَعْنِي: حِينَ الْبَلاءِ وَالشِّدَّةِ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَحِينَ الْبَأْسِ
١٥٦٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَنْقَزِيُّ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: وَحِينَ الْبَأْسِ قَالَ:
حِينَ الْقِتَالِ.
وَرُوِيَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَالْحَسَنِ وَمُجَاهِدٍ وَأَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ وَقَتَادَةَ وَمُرَّةَ وَمُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَأَبِي مَالِكٍ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ: أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا
١٥٧٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ رَوَّادٍ، ثنا آدَمُ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ: أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا يَقُولُ: تَكَلَّمُوا بِكَلامِ الإِيمَانِ وَحَقَّقُوا بِالْعَمَلِ. قَالَ الرَّبِيعُ: فَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ يَقُولُ: الإِيمَانُ كَلامٌ، فَحَقِيقَتُهُ الْعَمَلُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُحَقَّقِ الْقَوْلُ بِالْعَمَلِ لَمْ يَنْفَعْهُ الْقَوْلُ.
وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
١٥٧١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنِي بُكَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا إِيمَانَهُمْ وَصَبَرُوا عَلَى طَاعَةِ رَبِّهِمْ. وَفِي رِوَايَةِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ زِيَادَةٌ، يَعْنِي: النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابَهُ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ
