1590 - Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Umayr al-Tabari, a companion of Abu Zur'ah, narrated to us, al-Humaydi narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Dinar narrated to us, he said: I heard Mujahid saying: I heard Ibn 'Abbas [saying regarding]: "Then whoever transgresses after accepting the blood money."
It was reported from Mujahid, 'Ata', 'Ikrimah, al-Hasan, Qatadah, al-Suddi, al-Rabi' ibn Anas, and Muqatil ibn Hayyan similarly.
His saying: "Then for him is a painful punishment"
1591 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab narrated to us, Bishr informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding the saying of Allah: "A painful punishment" - he says: A painful retribution. This "painful punishment" [verse] is abrogated; it was abrogated by [the verse]: "Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating others with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills."
1592 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "Then for him is a painful punishment" - meaning: painful. He says: He shall be held accountable, and he shall not be pardoned, and blood money shall not be taken from him. It was reported from al-Dahhak similarly.
His saying: "And for you in retribution [is life]"
1593 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, al-Muqaddami narrated to us, Mu'adh ibn Hisham narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from 'Amr ibn Malik, from Abu al-Jawza' regarding: "And for you in retribution is life" - he said: The retribution is the Quran.
His saying: "And for you in retribution is life"
1594 - Ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah: "And for you in retribution is life" - he says: Allah made retribution a life. He says: How many a man intends to kill, but is prevented by the fear of being killed.
It was reported from al-Hasan, Sa'id ibn Jubayr, Mujahid, al-Rabi' ibn Anas, Muqatil ibn Hayyan, Abu Malik, and Qatadah similarly.

١٥٩٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ الطَّبَرِيُّ، جَلِيسُ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا عَمْرُو، بْنُ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَى بَعْدَ قَبُولِ الدِّيَةِ.
وَرُوِيَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١» وَعَطَاءٍ وَعِكْرِمَةَ وَالْحَسَنِ وَقَتَادَةَ وَالسُّدِّيِّ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَمُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ: فَلَهُ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
١٥٩١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا مِنْجَابٌ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ يَقُولُ: نَكَالٌ مُوجِعٌ فَهَذِهِ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ مَنْسُوخَةٌ نَسَخَتْهَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ.
١٥٩٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: فَلَهُ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ يَعْنِي وَجِيعٌ، يَقُولُ: يُعْتَلُّ وَلا يُعْفَى عَنْهُ وَلا تُؤْخَذُ مِنْهُ الدِّيَةُ. وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.
قوله: وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقِصَاصِ
١٥٩٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَوْزَاءِ وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقِصَاصِ حَيَاةٌ قَالَ: الْقِصَاصُ:
الْقُرْآنُ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقِصَاصِ حياة
١٥٩٤ - حدثنا بْنُ رَوَّادٍ، ثنا آدَمُ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي العلية:
وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقِصَاصِ حَيَاةٌ يَقُولُ: جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الْقِصَاصَ حَيَاةً يَقُولُ: كَمْ مِنْ رَجُلٍ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَقْتُلَ فَيَمْنَعُهُ مَخَافَةُ أَنْ يُقْتَلَ.
وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَمُجَاهِدٍ «٢» وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَمُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانِ وَأَبِي مَالِكٍ وقتادة نحو ذلك.
