The third view:
1757 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Madir narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, who said: Regarding His saying: "And complete the Hajj and 'Umrah for Allah," he says: Perform the Hajj and the 'Umrah properly.
The fourth view:
1758 - Ahmad ibn Mansur al-Ramadi narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, who said: It has reached us that 'Umar said regarding the saying of Allah: "And complete the Hajj and 'Umrah for Allah," he said: Part of completing them is that each one of them be performed separately from the other, and that the 'Umrah be performed in months other than the months of Hajj. Indeed, Allah says: "The Hajj is [during] well-known months."
His saying: "And complete the Hajj and 'Umrah for Allah"
1759 - Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us, Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to us, from Ibrahim, from 'Alqamah, regarding His saying: "And complete the Hajj and 'Umrah for Allah," he said: It is the recitation of 'Abd Allah: "And complete the Hajj and 'Umrah to the House," meaning one should not take the 'Umrah beyond the House.
1760 - Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Qatadah, who heard Zurarah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: Hajj is 'Arafah, and 'Umrah is the Tawaf.
1761 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Abu 'Abd Allah al-Harawi narrated to us, Ghassan al-Harawi narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Tahman narrated to us, from 'Ata', from Safwan ibn Umayyah, that he said: A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) perfumed with saffron, wearing a jubbah (outer garment), and said: How do you command me regarding my 'Umrah, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Then Allah revealed: "And complete the Hajj and 'Umrah for Allah." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) then said: Where is the one who was asking about the 'Umrah? He said: Here I am. He said to him: Cast off your clothes, then bathe, and inhale [water through your nose] as much as you can, then whatever you were going to do for your Hajj, do it for your 'Umrah.
1762 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Khalid narrated to us, from Fudayl, meaning Ibn Ghazwan, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The 'Umrah is the lesser Hajj.

١٧٥٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَادِرٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، قَالَ: أَمَّا قَوْلُهُ: وَأَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلَّهِ فَيَقُولُ: أَقِيمُوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ.

١٧٥٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ: بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: وَأَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لله قَالَ: مِنْ تَمَامِهِمَا أَنْ يُفْرَدَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِنَ الآخَرِ، وَأَنْ يُعْتَمَرَ فِي غَيْرِ أَشْهُرِ الْحَجِّ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ: الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ

١٧٦٠ - حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، سَمِعَ زُرَارَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: الْحَجُّ عَرَفَةُ، وَالْعُمْرَةُ: الطَّوَافُ.
١٧٦١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْهَرَوِيُّ، ثنا غَسَّانُ الْهَرَوِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَضَمِّخًا بِالزَّعْفَرَانِ، عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ، فَقَالَ: كَيْفَ تَأْمُرُنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فِي عُمْرَتِي؟ قَالَ: فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ: وَأَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنِ الْعُمْرَةِ؟ فَقَالَ: ها أنا ذَا. فَقَالَ لَهُ: الْقِ عَنْكَ ثِيَابَكَ ثُمَّ أَغْتَسِلْ وَاسْتَنْشِقْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ، ثُمَّ مَا كُنْتَ- يَعْنِي صَانِعًا- فِي حَجِّكَ، فَاصْنَعْهُ فِي عُمْرَتِكَ «١» .
١٧٦٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ، عَنْ فَضْيلٍ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ غَزْوَانَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: الْعُمْرَةُ الْحَجَّةُ الصُّغْرَى.
