Translation · EN

247 - 'Ali ibn al-Mubarak reported to us in what he wrote to me: Zayd ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, Ibn Thawr narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from 'Amr ibn Dinar: "Then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones"—he said: Stones harder and greater than these stones.

His saying, the Exalted: "Prepared for the disbelievers"

248 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan informed us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, who said: Regarding what Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah or Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas: "Prepared for the disbelievers"—meaning for whoever was upon the like of what you are upon of disbelief.

His saying, the Exalted: "And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens beneath which rivers flow"

249 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah "And give good tidings to those who believe": He says: Give them good tidings of victory in the world and Paradise in the Hereafter.

His saying: "Those who believe"

250 - My father narrated to us, Nasr ibn 'Ali narrated to us, my father informed me, from Khalid ibn Qays, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "The believer"—he said: Meaning he who believed in His Book.

His saying: "And do righteous deeds"

251 - My father narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Musa narrated to us, Hisham ibn Yusuf narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: And 'Ata' said, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: The righteous deeds are: Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah), al-hamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), la ilaha illa Allah (There is no god but Allah), and Allahu akbar (Allah is the Greatest).

His saying: "They will have gardens beneath which rivers flow"

252 - It was read to al-Rabi' ibn Sulayman: Asad ibn Musa narrated to us, Ibn Thawban narrated to us, from 'Ata' ibn Qurrah, from 'Abd Allah ibn Damrah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: The rivers of Paradise gush from beneath hills, or from beneath mountains of musk.
