261 - My father narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Sulayman narrated to us, 'Amir ibn Yasaf narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, who said: The grass of Paradise is saffron, and its hillocks are musk. The youths circulate among them with fruits, and they eat them, then they are brought their like, and the people of Paradise say to them: "This is what you brought us just now." The youths say to them: "Eat, for the color is the same, but the taste is different." This is the saying of Allah: "And they will be given it in likeness."
262 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah: "And they will be given it in likeness"—it means: they resemble one another, but differ in taste. It has been narrated from Mujahid, al-Dahhak, al-Rabi' ibn Anas, and al-Suddi something similar to what we have narrated from Abu al-'Aliyah.
263 - Al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Mazyad informed us by way of reading, Ibn Shu'ayb—meaning Muhammad ibn Shu'ayb ibn Shabur—informed us, Sa'id ibn Bashir informed me, from Qatadah that he narrated to them regarding the saying of Allah: "And they will be given it in likeness"—he says: Resemblance to the fruits of the world, and they are all choice; there is nothing base among them. It has also been narrated from 'Ikrimah something similar to the saying of Ibn 'Abbas.
His saying: "And for them therein are purified spouses"
264 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "purified spouses," he says: Purified from filth and harm.
265 - Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying "purified spouses," he said: Purified from menstruation, defecation, urination, phlegm, saliva, semen, and childbirth.
266 - Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us, 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn 'Ata' narrated to us, from Sa'id and Aban, from Qatadah: "For them therein are purified spouses"—he said: Purified from harm and sin.
267 - My father narrated to us, Ibn Nufayl Khulayd narrated to us, from Qatadah: "Purified spouses"—he said: No menstruation and no skin blemishes. Abu Muhammad said: It has been narrated from 'Ata', al-Hasan, al-Dahhak, Abu Salih, 'Atiyyah, and al-Suddi something similar to what has preceded of the interpretation.

٢٦١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ يَسَافٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ: عُشْبُ الْجَنَّةِ الزَّعْفَرَانُ، وَكُثْبَانُهَا الْمِسْكُ، وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْوِلْدَانُ بِالْفَوَاكِهِ فَيَأْكُلُونَهَا ثُمَّ يُؤْتَوْنَ بِمِثْلِهَا فَيَقُولُ لَهُمْ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ: هَذَا الَّذِي آتَيْتُمُونَا بِهِ آنِفًا. فَيَقُولُ لَهُمُ الْوِلْدَانُ:
كُلُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّوْنَ وَاحِدٌ، وَالطَّعْمَ مُخْتَلِفٌ. وَهُوَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ: وَأُتُوا بِهِ مُتَشَابِهًا.
٢٦٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ رَوَّادٍ ثنا آدَمُ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ: وَأُتُوا بِهِ مُتَشَابِهًا يُشْبِهُ بَعْضُهُ بَعْضًا، وَيَخْتَلِفُ فِي الطَّعْمِ. وَرُوِيَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١» وَالضَّحَّاكِ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَالسُّدِّيِّ نَحْوُ مَا حَكَيْنَا عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ.
٢٦٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ قِرَاءَةً أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ شُعَيْبٍ- يَعْنِي مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورَ- أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ»
أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: وَأُتُوا بِهِ مُتَشَابِهًا يَقُولُ: شِبْهُ ثِمَارِ الدُّنْيَا، وَهِيَ خِيَارٌ كُلُّهَا لَيْسَ يَرْذُلُ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ- وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ نَحْوُ قَوْلِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا أَزْوَاجٌ مُطَهَّرَةٌ
٢٦٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَزْوَاجٌ مُطَهَّرَةٌ يَقُولُ: مُطَهَّرَةٌ مِنَ الْقَذَرِ وَالأَذَى.
٢٦٥ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ ثنا شَبَابَةُ ثنا وَرْقَاءُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ أَزْوَاجٌ مُطَهَّرَةٌ قَالَ: مُطَهَّرَةٌ مِنَ الْحَيْضِ وَالْغَائِطِ وَالْبَوْلِ وَالنُّخَامِ وَالْبُزَاقِ وَالْمَنِيِّ وَالْوَلَدِ «٣» .
٢٦٦ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ وَأَبَانَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ: لَهُمْ فِيهَا أَزْوَاجٌ مُطَهَّرَةٌ قَالَ: مُطَهَّرَةٌ مِنَ الأَذَى وَالْمَأْثَمِ.
٢٦٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا ابن نفيل خُلَيْدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ: أَزْوَاجٌ مُطَهَّرَةٌ قَالَ لَا حَيْضَ، وَلا كَلَفَ. قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ وَالْحَسَنِ وَالضَّحَّاكِ وَأَبِي صَالِحٍ وَعَطِيَّةَ وَالسُّدِّيِّ نَحْوُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنَ التفسير.
