The second view:

374 - Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "In abundance (raghadan)," he said: There is no reckoning upon them.

The third view:

375 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad ibn Talhah narrated to us, from al-Suddi: "And eat from it in abundance (raghadan) wherever you wish," and the "raghad" is that which is wholesome (al-hani').

His saying: "And do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers"

[The first view]

376 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah narrated to us, from Isra'il, from al-Suddi, from whomsoever narrated to him, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: The tree which Adam was forbidden from is the grapevine. This was likewise interpreted by Sa'id ibn Jubayr, al-Sha'bi, Ja'dah ibn Hubayrah, al-Suddi, and Muhammad ibn Qays.

The second view:

377 - Muhammad ibn Isma'il ibn Samurah al-Ahmas narrated to us, Abu Yahya al-Himmani narrated to us, al-Nadr Abu 'Umar al-Khazzaz narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: The tree which Allah forbade Adam from is the stalk (al-sunbulah). This was likewise interpreted by al-Hasan al-Basri, Wahb ibn Munabbih, 'Atiyyah al-'Awfi, Abu Malik, Muharib ibn Dithar, and 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla.

378 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa narrated to us, Salamah ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to me, from some of the people of Yemen, from Wahb ibn Munabbih, that he used to say: It is wheat, but a single grain of it in Paradise was like the kidneys of cattle, softer than butter, and sweeter than honey.

The third view:

379 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Musa narrated to us, Abu Zaydah reported to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj, from Mujahid: "And do not approach this tree," he said: A fig tree. This was likewise interpreted by Qatadah and Ibn Jurayj.

The fourth view:

380 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Ahmad narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Husayn, from Abu Malik: "And do not approach this tree," he said: The date palm.
