His saying: "And those who disbelieved and denied Our signs."

427 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi informed us, Yazid ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And those who disbelieved," he said: The polytheists of Quraysh.

His saying: "Our signs."

The first aspect:

428 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim narrated to us, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: As for the signs of Allah, it is Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

The second aspect:

429 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: "Our signs," he means the Quran.

His saying: "They are the companions of the Fire."

430 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa al-Ansari narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, Asbat ibn Nasr narrated to us, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik, regarding His saying: "The companions of the Fire," they will be punished therein.

His saying: "They will abide therein forever."

431 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan informed us, Salamah ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, he said, in what Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah or Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas: "They are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein forever," meaning they will abide therein eternally.

432 - My father narrated to us, Abu Safwan Nasr ibn Qudayd ibn Nasr ibn Sayyar al-Laythi narrated to us, Rib'i ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Jarud ibn Abi Sabrah al-Hudhali narrated to us, from al-Jarud ibn Abi Sabrah, from Anas, in a marfu' (elevated) report, he said: Those who will abide forever in the Fire will be in sealed iron coffins.

His saying: "O Children of Israel."

433 - Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, 'Abd al-Hamid ibn Bahram narrated to us, from Shahr, 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abbas narrated to me, he said: A group of Jews came to the Prophet of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—and he said to them: "Do you know that Israel is Jacob?" They replied, "By Allah, yes." The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: "I bear witness against them."
