[Conclusion of Surat al-Ahzab]
...and I shall make them known after obscurity, and I shall make them abundant after scarcity, and I shall enrich them after poverty, and I shall unite them after separation, and I shall reconcile through them between scattered nations, differing hearts, and dispersed desires. I shall save through them a great multitude of people from destruction, and I shall make his nation the best nation brought forth for mankind; they enjoin the good and forbid the evil, being monotheists, believers, sincere, and acknowledging what My messengers have brought. I shall inspire them with glorification (tasbih), praise (tahmid), commendation, exaltation (takbir), and professing the oneness of God (tawhid) in their mosques, their gatherings, their resting places, their places of return, and their dwellings. They shall pray to Me standing and sitting, and they shall fight in the cause of God in rows and ranks. They shall depart from their homes seeking My pleasure in multitudes, purifying their faces and limbs, and girding their garments at their midsections. Their sacrifice shall be their blood, and their gospels shall be in their chests. They shall be monks by night and lions by day. I shall place among the people of his house and his progeny the forerunners, the truthful ones, the martyrs, and the righteous. His nation after him shall guide by the truth and judge justly by it. I shall empower those who support them, and I shall aid those who call on their behalf. I shall place the circle of evil upon those who oppose them, or commit aggression against them, or wish to seize anything from what is in their hands. I shall make them heirs of their Prophet and the caller to their Lord; they enjoin the good, forbid the evil, establish prayer, pay zakat, and fulfill their covenant. I shall conclude with them the good which I began with their first. That is My favor, which I grant to whom I will, and I am the possessor of the great bounty. (1)
17715 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Abd al-Rahman ibn Salih narrated to us, [saying]: Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Ubayd Allah al-Arzami narrated to me, from Shayban al-Nahwi, [who said]: Qatada informed me, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, who said: When the verse 'O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner' was revealed, and he had already ordered Ali and Mu'adh to travel to Yemen, he said: 'Go, bring good tidings and do not repel; make things easy and do not make them difficult, for there has been revealed to me: "O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner."' The saying of the Almighty: And disregard their annoyance.
17716 - From Mujahid, may God be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'And disregard their annoyance,' he said: 'Turn away from them.' (3)

وَأُعَرِّفُ بِهِ بَعْدَ النُّكْرَةِ وَأُكْثِرُ بِهِ بَعْدَ الْقِلَّةِ وَأُغْنِي بِهِ بَعْدَ الْعَيْلَةِ وَأَجْمَعُ بِهِ بَعْدَ الْفُرْقَةِ وَأُؤَلِّفُ بِهِ بَيْنَ أُمَمٍ مُتَفَرِّقَةٍ، وَقُلُوبٍ مُخْتَلِفَةٍ، وَأَهْوَاءٍ مُتَشَتِّتَةٍ، وَسَأُنْقِذُ بِهِ فِئَامًا مِنَ النَّاسِ عَظِيمَةً مِنَ الْهَلَكَةِ، وَأَجْعَلُ أُمَّتَهُ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ، عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ مُوَحِّدِينَ مُؤْمِنِينَ مُخْلِصِينَ مُصَدِّقِينَ لِمَا جَاءَتْ بِهِ رُسُلِي، أُلْهِمُهُمُ التَّسْبِيحُ وَالتَّحْمِيدُ وَالثَّنَاءُ وَالتَّكْبِيرُ وَالتَّوْحِيدُ فِي مَسَاجِدَهِمْ وَمَجَالِسِهِمْ وَمَضَاجِعِهِمْ وَمُنْقَلَبِهِمْ وَمَثْوَاهِمْ يُصَلُّونَ لِي قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَيُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ صُفُوفًا وَزُحُوفًا، وَيَخْرُجُونَ مِنْ دِيَارِهِمِ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِي أُلُوفًا يُطَهِّرُونَ الْوُجُوهَ وَالْأَطْرَافَ وَيُشِدُّونَ الثِّيَابَ فِي الْأَنْصَافِ قُرْبَانُهُمْ دِمَاؤُهُمْ وَأَنَاجِيلُهُمْ فِي صُدُورِهِمْ رُهْبَانٌ بِاللَّيْلِ لُيُوثٌ بِالنَّهَارِ، وَأَجْعَلُ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَذُرِّيتِهِ السَّابِقِينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءَ وَالصَّالِحِينَ، أُمَّتُهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ يَهْدُونَ بِالْحَقِ وَبِهِ يَعْدِلُونَ أُعِزُّ مَنْ نَصَرَهُمْ وَأُؤَيِّدُ مَنْ دَعَا لَهُمْ، وَأَجْعَلُ دَائِرَةَ السَّوْءِ عَلَى مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ أَوْ بَغَى عَلَيْهِمْ، أَوْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْتَزِعَ شَيْئًا مِمَّا فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ أَجْعَلُهُمْ وَرَثَةً لِنَبِيِّهِمْ وَالدَّاعِيَةِ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ، عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاةَ ويؤتون الزكاة ويوفون بعهدهم، أختم بهم الخير الذي بدأته بأولهم، ذلك فضلي أوتيه من أشاء، وأنا ذو الفضل العظيم «١» .
١٧٧١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ العرزمي، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ النَّحْوِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ شَاهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَقَدْ كَانَ أَمَرَ عَلِيًّا وَمُعَاذًا أَنْ يَسِيرَا إِلَى الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ: انْطَلِقَا فَبَشِّرَا وَلا تُنَفِّرَا وَيَسِّرَا وَلا تُعَسِّرَا» إِنَّهُ قَدْ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيَّ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ شَاهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا «٢» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَدَعْ أَذَاهُمْ
١٧٧١٦ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ، عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَدَعْ أَذَاهُمْ قَالَ: أَعْرِضْ، عَنْهُمْ «٣» .
١٧٧١٧ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: إِذَا نَكَحْتُمُ المؤمنات الآية. قال: هذا في
