anything else, but his deities will be represented before him. Angels will be placed in the image of Ezra, and an angel from among the angels will be placed in the image of Jesus. The Jews will follow the former, and the Christians the latter, then their deities will return with them into the Fire. This is what Allah referred to: "If these had been gods, they would not have arrived at it, and all therein will abide forever." When there remain only the believers, and among them are the hypocrites, it will be said to them: "O people, the people have gone, so follow your deities and what you used to worship." They will say: "By Allah, we have no god but Allah, and we did not worship anyone else." It will be said to them: "O people, the people have gone, so follow your deities and what you used to worship." They will say: "By Allah, we have no god but Allah, and we did not worship anyone else." This will be said to them a second and a third time, and they will say the same. He will then say: "I am your Lord. Is there any sign between you and your Lord by which you recognize Him?" They will say: "Yes."
He will then uncover His Shin, and Allah will show them whatever sign He wills to show them, so they will know that He is their Lord. They will fall prostrate on their faces, while every hypocrite will fall upon his back; Allah will make their spines like the horns of cattle. Then Allah will give them permission, and they will raise their heads. The Bridge (al-Sirat) will be set up between the two sides of Hell, as fine as a hair and as sharp as a sword. Upon it will be hooks, claws, and thorns like the thorns of the Sa'dan. Below it will be a bridge that is slippery and treacherous. They will pass over it as quickly as a blink of an eye, like a flash of lightning, like a passing wind, like the swiftest of horses, like the swiftest of mounts, and like the swiftest of men. Some will be saved and safe, some will be saved but scratched, and some will be tumbled into Hell on their faces.
When the people of Paradise reach Paradise and enter it—by Him in whose hand is my soul—you will not be more familiar with your wives and dwellings in the world than you will be when you enter Paradise. Each man among them will enter upon seventy-two wives from among those whom Allah created in Paradise, and two human wives from the children of Adam, who will have superiority over those whom Allah created for their service in the world. He will enter upon the first of them in a chamber of hyacinth on a bed of gold decorated with pearls, upon which are seventy robes of silk and brocade. He will place his hand between her shoulder blades, and he will look at his hand from her chest, from behind her clothes, her flesh, and her skin; he will see the marrow of her shin just as one of you looks at a wire inside a hyacinth stone, her liver being a mirror to him. While he is with her, he will not tire of her, nor will she tire of him, and he will never come to her but that he finds her a virgin; they will not grow weary nor feel pain. While he is in that state, he will be called and told: "We know that you do not tire, nor are you tired, and that you have other wives besides her." He will go out and come to them one by one. Every time he comes to one, she will say to him: "By Allah, I do not see in Paradise anything better than you, nor anything in Paradise more beloved to me than you."
