18779 - From Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding "[Banana] trees layered [with fruit]" (Talhin Mandud), he said: The banana. (1)
His saying, the Almighty: "Extended shade."
18780 - Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us, Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn 'Amr, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who said: "In Paradise, there is a tree in whose shade a rider travels for a hundred years without traversing it. Read if you wish: 'And extended shade.'" (2)
18781 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, Abu 'Amir al-'Aqadi narrated to us, from Zam'ah ibn Salih, from Salamah ibn Wahram, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas who said: The extended shade is a tree in Paradise whose trunk shade is such that a rider travels for a hundred years along its outskirts. He said: The people of Paradise, the people of the high chambers and others, will go out to it and converse in its shade. He said: Some of them will desire and remember the diversions of the world, so Allah will send a breeze from Paradise that will stir that tree with every diversion of the world. (3)
18782 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, Ibn Yaman narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from 'Umar ibn Maymun regarding His saying: "And extended shade," he said: Seventy thousand years. (4)
18783 - My father narrated to us, Abu al-Walid al-Tayalisi narrated to us, Husayn ibn Nafi' narrated to us, from al-Hasan regarding the saying of Allah the Almighty: "And extended shade," he said: In Paradise there is a tree in whose shade a rider travels for a hundred years without traversing it. His saying, the Almighty: "Raised high."
18784 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Juwaybir, from Abu Sahl—meaning Kathir ibn Ziyad—from al-Hasan regarding "And carpets raised high," he said: The height of the bed of a man from the people of Paradise is a journey of eighty years. (6)
His saying, the Almighty: "Bringing into being."
18785 - Musa ibn 'Ubaydah al-Rabadhi said, from Yazid al-Raqashi, from Anas ibn Malik who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "'Indeed, We have produced them in a [new] creation,' he said: They are your old women of the world, [who were] bleary-eyed and rheumy." ١٨٧٧٩ - عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وطلح منضود قال: الموز «١» .
قوله تعالى: ظل مَمْدُودٍ
١٨٧٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: «فِي الْجَنَّة شَجَرَةٌ يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ عَامٍ مَا يَقْطَعُهَا، وَاقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ «٢» .
١٨٧٨١ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ ابْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، عَنْ زَمَعَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سلمة ابن وَهْرَامَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: الظِّلُّ الْمَمْدُودُ شَجَرَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ عَلَى سَاقِ ظِلِّهَا، قَدْرُ مَا يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي نَوَاحِيهَا مَائَةَ عَامٍ. قَالَ: فَيَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهَا أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ، أَهْلُ الْغُرَفِ وَغَيْرُهُمْ، فَيَتَحَدَّثُونَ فِي ظِلِّهَا. قَالَ: فَيَشْتَهِي بَعْضُهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُ لَهْوَ الدُّنْيَا فَيُرْسِلُ اللَّهُ رِيحًا مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ فَتُحَرِّكُ تِلْكَ الشَّجَرَةَ بِكُلِّ لَهْوٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا «٣» .
١٨٧٨٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ يَمَانٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ، قَالَ: سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ «٤» .
١٨٧٨٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ قَالَ: فِي الْجَنَّة شَجَرَةٌ يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ لَا يَقْطَعُهَا «٥» .

١٨٧٨٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَهْلٍ يَعْنِي كَثِيرَ بْنَ زِيَادٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَفُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ قَالَ: ارْتِفَاعُ فِرَاشُ الرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَسِيرَةُ ثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً «٦» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنْشَاءً
١٨٧٨٥ - قَالَ مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ الرَّبَذِيُّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّا أَنشَأْنَاهُنَّ إِنْشَاءً قَالَ: نِسَاءٌ عَجَائِزُكُنَّ فِي الدُّنْيَا عَمَشًا رَمَصًا» «٧» .
