18786 - From Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la, from Ibn Wahb, from 'Amr ibn al-Harith, from Abu Sa'id, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding His saying: "And carpets raised high," he said: Their height is like that which is between the heaven and the earth, and the journey between them is five hundred years. (1)

His saying, the Almighty: "Virgins."

18787 - From Anas regarding His saying: "And We made them virgins," he said: Maidens. (2)

His saying, the Almighty: "Loving, equal in age."

18788 - By the path of al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "Loving" (uruban), he said: Passionate toward their husbands, and their husbands are passionate toward them. "Equal in age" (atraban), he said: Of the same age, thirty-three years old. (3)

18789 - By the path of 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas who said: The 'urub are those who are affectionate to their husbands. (4)

18790 - It was mentioned from Sahl ibn 'Uthman al-'Askari: Abu 'Ali narrated to us, from Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from his father, from his grandfather who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said regarding "Loving" (uruban): "Their speech is Arabic." (5)

18792 - From Zayd ibn Aslam (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The 'aribah is she who is beautiful in speech. (6)

18793 - From Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said regarding His saying: '(uruban),' he said: 'Their speech is Arabic.'" (7)

18794 - Al-Mundhir ibn Shadhan narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Bakkar narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from 'Imran ibn Husayn, from 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud who said—and some of them were taking from others—he said: We stayed up one night with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then we went to him in the morning. He said: "The Prophets and their followers were presented to me along with their nations. A Prophet and another Prophet would pass by me with a group, and a Prophet with three people, and a Prophet with no one with him." And Qatadah recited this verse: 'Is there not among you a man of right reason?' He said: "Until Musa ibn 'Imran passed by me with a large group of the Children of Israel. I said: 'My Lord, who is this?' He said: 'This is your brother, Musa ibn 'Imran, and those with him from the Children of Israel.' I said: 'My Lord, then where is my nation?' He said: 'Look to your right at the mountain passes.'"
