17922 - From Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: "Whatever mercy God opens to the people..." He said: Whatever God opens for the people from the door of repentance, none can release it thereafter, yet they do not repent.
17923 - From Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: "Whatever mercy God opens to the people, none can withhold it, and whatever He withholds, none can release it thereafter," he says: You have no say in the matter.
17924 - From Qatada, may God be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "Whatever mercy God opens to the people," meaning: from goodness, "none can withhold it," he said: No one is able to restrain it.
17925 - From al-Suddi, may God be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "Whatever mercy God opens to the people, none can withhold it," he said: Rain.
17926 - By way of Ibn Wahb, he said: I heard Malik reporting that Abu Hurayra, may God be pleased with him, whenever he would wake up on a night in which they were rained upon, would speak with his companions and say: We were rained upon tonight by the asterism of 'al-Fath' (the opening), then he would recite: "Whatever mercy God opens to the people, none can withhold it."

17927 - From al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "He provides for you from the heaven and the earth," he said: The provision from the heaven is rain, and from the earth is vegetation.
His saying, the Almighty: "So let not the worldly life deceive you."
17928 - From Sa'id ibn Jubayr, he said: Deception in the worldly life is to be deluded by it such that it distracts one from the Hereafter, from preparing for it and working for it, like the saying of the servant when he reaches the Hereafter: "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead for my life." And deception regarding God is for the servant to persist in disobedience to God while hoping for forgiveness from God.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مَا يَفْتِحِ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ فَلا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا وَمَا يُمْسِكْ فَلا مُرْسِلَ لَهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ
١٧٩٢٢ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله، عنهما في قوله: ما يفتح اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ.. قَالَ: مَا يَفْتِحِ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ بَابِ تَوْبَةٍ فَلا مُرْسِلَ لَهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَهُمْ لَا يَتُوبُونَ «١» .
١٧٩٢٣ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ الله، عنهما في قوله: ما يفتح اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ فَلا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا وَمَا يمسك فلا مرسل له من بعده يَقُولُ: لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ «٢» .
١٧٩٢٤ - عَنْ قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ، عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مَا يَفْتِحِ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ أَيْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَلا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا قَالَ: فَلا يَسْتَطَيعُ أَحَدٌ حَبْسَهَا «٣» .
١٧٩٢٥ - عَنِ السُّدِّىِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ، عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مَا يَفْتِحِ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ فَلا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا قَالَ: الْمَطَرُ «٤» .
١٧٩٢٦ - مِنْ طَرِيقِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مَالِكًا يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ، عَنْهُ كَانَ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الَّتِي يُمْطَرُونَ فِيهَا وَتَحَدَّثَ مَعَ أَصْحَابِهِ قَالَ: مُطِرْنَا اللَّيْلَةَ بَنَوْءِ الْفَتْحِ ثُمَّ يَتْلُو مَا يَفْتِحِ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ فَلا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا «٥» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ
١٧٩٢٧ - عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ فِي قَوْلِهِ: يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ قَالَ: الرِّزْقُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ: الْمَطَرُ، وَمِنَ الْأَرْضِ: النَّبَاتُ «٦» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَلا تَغُرَّنَّكُمْ
١٧٩٢٨ - عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ: الْغِرَّةُ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا أَنْ يَغْتَرَّ بِهَا وَتَشْغَلَهُ، عَنِ الْآخِرَةِ أَنْ يُمَهِّدَ لَهَا وَيَعْمَلُ لَهَا كَقَوْلِ الْعَبْدِ إِذَا أَفْضَى إِلَى الْآخِرَةِ يَا لَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِي وَالْغِرَّةُ بِاللَّهِ: أَنْ يَكُونَ الْعَبْدُ فُي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ وَيَتَمَنَّى على الله المغفرة «٧» .
