His saying, the Almighty: "To Him ascends the good word."

17938 - From Shahr ibn Hawshab, may God be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "To Him ascends the good word," he said: "The Quran."

17939 - From Matar, may God be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "To Him ascends the good word," he said: "Supplication (Du'a)."

17940 - From Shahr ibn Hawshab, regarding the verse, he said: "Righteous action raises up the good word."

17941 - From al-Dahhak, regarding His saying: "To Him ascends the good word, and righteous action raises it," he said: "Righteous action raises up the good word."

17942 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, al-Walid ibn 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Ubayd Allah Abu Musarrah narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn 'Ata' narrated, from Maslama ibn 'Abd Allah, from his uncle Abu Mashja'ah ibn Rib'i, from Abu al-Darda', may God be pleased with him, who said: We mentioned something in the presence of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said: "God does not delay a soul when its appointed time arrives, but the increase in life comes from righteous offspring whom God provides for the servant, so they pray for him after he is gone, and their prayer reaches him in his grave; that is the increase in life."

His saying, the Almighty: "And those who plot evil deeds," he said: "They show off. 'The plotting of those is what will perish.'" He said: "They are the people of ostentation (Riya'), their work does not ascend."

17943 - From Qatada, may God be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And those who plot evil deeds," he said: "They perform evil deeds. 'And the plotting of those is what will perish.'" He said: "It will be corrupted."

17944 - From al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "And the plotting of those is what will perish," he said: "It will be destroyed, so it will have no reward in the Hereafter."

His saying, the Almighty: "And God created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop."

17945 - From Qatada, regarding His saying: "And God created you from dust," he said: "He created Adam from dust, 'then from a sperm-drop,' meaning his descendants, then males and females."
