He said: It was mentioned to us that the Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say: "The Hour will be stirred up among people while a man is watering his livestock, a man is repairing his trough, a man is setting up his goods in the market, and a man is lowering and raising his scales. It will be stirred up upon them while they are in that state; they will not be able to make a testament, nor will they be able to return to their families." He said: They were hurried regarding that.

18093 - From Ibn Zayd, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing," he said: "This is the beginning of the Day of Resurrection."

18094 - From al-Suddi, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "while they are disputing," he said: "They are talking."

18095 - From Ibn 'Umar, he said: "The Trumpet will surely be blown while people are on their paths, in their markets, and in their gatherings, to the extent that a garment might be between two men bargaining; one of them will not have released it from his hand before the Trumpet is blown and he is struck dead by it. This is what Allah said: 'They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. They will not be able to make a testament, nor will they be able to return to their families.'"

His saying, the Exalted: "This Day, We will seal their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will bear witness."

18096 - From 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir, may Allah be pleased with him, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "The first bone of a human being to speak on the day when mouths are sealed is his thigh from the left leg."

His saying, the Exalted: "Toward their Lord they will hasten."

18097 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "Toward their Lord they will hasten," he said: "They will emerge."

18098 - From Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: "The believer will be called for the reckoning on the Day of Resurrection, and his Lord will present his deeds to him between Himself and the believer so that he may confess. He will say: 'O my Lord, I did this... I did this.' Allah will forgive him his sins and conceal them from him." He said: "There will not be on earth a successor who sees any of those sins, but his betrayal will appear, and he will wish that all people could see it. The disbeliever and the hypocrite will be called for the reckoning, and his Lord will present his deeds to him, but he will deny it and say: 'O my Lord, by Your might, this angel has written against me what I did not do.' The angel will say to him: 'Did you not do such and such on such a day in such a place?' He will say: 'No, by Your might, O my Lord, I did not do it.' When he does that, his mouth will be sealed. I think the first part of him to speak will be his right thigh, then he recited: 'This Day, We will seal their mouths.'"
