18205 - From al-Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "Then look at how the end of the warned was," he said: How Allah punished the people of Noah, the people of Lot, the people of Salih, and the nations that Allah punished.

His saying, the Almighty: "And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders."

18206 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders," he said: Allah, the Almighty, answered him.

His saying, the Almighty: "And We saved him and his family from the great affliction."

18207 - From al-Suddi (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And We saved him and his family from the great affliction," he said: From the drowning of the flood.

His saying, the Almighty: "And We made his descendants those who remained [the survivors]."

18208 - From the hadith of Sa'id ibn Bashir, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from Samurah, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) regarding His saying: "And We made his descendants those who remained [the survivors]," he said: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

18209 - From Samurah ibn Jundab (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) regarding His saying: "And We made his descendants those who remained [the survivors]," he said: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

18210 - From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Noah's children were three: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The children of Shem are the Arabs, the Persians, and the Romans, and goodness is in them. The children of Japheth are Gog and Magog, the Turks, and the Saqalibah (Slavs), and there is no goodness in them. As for the children of Ham, they are the Copts, the Berbers, and the Sudanese."

18211 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And We made his descendants those who remained [the survivors]," he said: All people are from the descendants of Noah, peace be upon him. "And We left for him [favorable mention] among the later generations," he said: Allah preserved for him good praise in the afterlife.
