in the way of Allah those who disbelieve in Allah. Do not transgress, do not act treacherously, do not mutilate, and do not kill newborns or the inhabitants of hermitages.”
It was narrated by al-Tabarani (11/224), al-Bayhaqi (9/90), Talkhis (4/103), and al-Majma' (5/316). Al-Haythami said: It was narrated by Ahmad, Abu Ya'la, al-Bazzar, and al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" and "al-Awsat," except that it states therein: “Do not kill a newborn, a woman, or an old man.” In the chain of narrators of al-Bazzar is Ibrahim ibn Isma'il ibn Abi Habibah, whom Ahmad declared reliable, while the majority declared him weak; the rest of the narrators of al-Bazzar are narrators of the Sahih.
