363: 1910: The world: 1: Al-Suddi and other exegetes said: This was revealed regarding al-Akhnas ibn Shariq, whose name was Ubayy. Al-Akhnas is a title given to him because he turned back (khansa) on the day of Badr with three hundred men from his allies of the Banu Zuhrah, avoiding the battle against the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He was a man with sweet speech and appearance; he later came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), manifested Islam, and said, "Allah knows that I am truthful." Then, he fled thereafter, passed by a crop belonging to some Muslims, and by donkeys, and burned the crop and hamstrung the donkeys.
