2114: They are purified: 2: Imam Ahmad, Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, and Ibn Majah narrated from the hadith of al-'Ala', from Hizam bin Hakim, from his paternal uncle 'Abd Allah bin Sa'd al-Ansari, that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): What is lawful for me from my wife while she is menstruating? He said: "That which is above the waist-wrap." Narrated by Abu Dawud in (Al-Taharah, chapter 83), al-Mishkat (552), al-Kanz (44896), al-Manthur (1/260), and Ibn Kathir (1/379).

This reached the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he said: "There is no harm if it is in one orifice." Abu Hanifah in his Musnad (102), al-Manthur (1/262).
